There are lots of walkable beach towns in California. Try La Jolla, Del Mar, or Laguna Beach.

When we went there we drove about 500 miles just around the island in one week. What area is walkable?

Not PP but we go to HHI. We rent a condo in Palmetto Dunes and walk or bike the whole time we’re there. Walkable for us. YMMV.

Lol

There is nothing walkable about Kiawah. The resort is huge and the shops, etc. are a 10 min drive off property.

My favorite is Encinitas.

New Smyrna Beach in Florida. Stay close to Flagler and you will never need a car.

There’s nothing walkable in Kiawah. The resort is massive and the grocery store, restaurants, etc. are a 10 min drive (more like 30+ to get to the good restaurants in Charleston).

The restaurants on property are wildly overpriced.

FTR, I love Kiawah, but it’s not walkable.

Kiawah is not walkable. You need a golf cart, bike or car to get around.

Nope.

What is your definition of walkable? We stay in downtown Duck and don’t move the car for a week. Walk to the beach, restaurants and shops.
