Keep an eye out for clubs adding additional tryouts on Monday and later into the week. That usually means they are still looking for players.

PSA If your player is still without a club on Sunday morning — you may still find a backup or makeup tryout on Sunday/Monday. You probably need to get up early and get after it this year as tryout numbers seem to have escalated beyond all reason.

Check out the spreadsheet here: https://www.chrva.org/page/show/3927262-chrva-girls-volleyball.
<see click here for club tryout dates>

And checkout the instagrams, facebooks and webpages for clubs that are labeled second or third tier on this forum.

See tbe spreadsheet but off the top of my head in VA — Vienna, American are examples of clubs with scheduled Sunday tryouts.Good luck to all the volleyball parents!!!

Metro East said they would send an email but didn’t give an answer. Looked like others got answers though? I guess that’s a soft “no”?

Most clubs don't send a "no" unless they have too many players trying out. For example, MVSA sent a "no" to about half of the players who tried out yesterday. They will send offers to 30 players / age group and keep the rest waiting as long as they are still working on their rosters. At some point, everyone waiting will receive a message saying "our rosters are full, thank you for trying out, join our tryouts next year."

All clubs offer on the same day of tryouts. If you haven't received one, you could be a possible alternate based others declining their offers. You won't know and may have to wait after Tuesday.

I have heard about offers being made by Platform at all levels of 14U (Black, Purple, and White). It is not clear how many got accepted though - most of those players tried out / are still trying out for other clubs.

That might be the case with the more desperate clubs. Some clubs start making offers only after they see everyone.

Which clubs are considered “second or third tier”? My daughter just wants to play and would be happy to get an offer to any club—we’re new to this, so not sure which ones are considered better
