I stopped using tampons 20 years ago. Either pads or a cup now. |
I started using a cup about five years ago. It's a little messy sometimes, but I actually prefer it to tampons, which I would have problems with leaking and falling out. |
I'm on my 2nd mirena and haven't had a period since April 2014. |
How do you get the cup out cleanly? |
Don't like tampons, I always use pads. Reusable ones if I'm at home but of course I carry a disposable. |
Or u carry a pad then get the cup when u get home? |
Team tampon. Asked adult DD and she and all of her close friends are team tampon too. Several tried the cup and hated having to deal with it at work. |
I use pads. Always have. I've got one in my purse if you need something. No tampon though, sorry. |
Team cup here. I don’t carry it in my purse because I generally don’t carry purses. So I wouldn’t have had a tampon either. |
You empty it more often. But if you have a heavy period or it's your heavier days, you just accept that it's a messy process. Women who must empty it in public places (like work) may not enjoy it during the day but may like it more overnight or on the weekends. |
I can always predict when I am going to have my period (at least within a day or two). I have a little blood on toilet paper but not enough to need a cup. Isn’t that the same with everyone else? |
Yes I can always anticipate when it's coming. And I can put it in safely (no TSS!) in advance if I know it's coming. It's also more comfortable than tampons because it's silicone. |
I'll stick with my tampons. I don't want a prolapse that can come from using a cup. |
Everyone I know uses tampons |
I use a cup or tampons depending on the situation. I would generally have a tampon to offer but it would be an OB with no applicator. |
