There are plenty of preppy/sporty people at W&M |
| "CWM" poster is a troll. |
| Seriously ... this again? |
I think VT is a great school but W&M is a much more difficult admit. W&M ACT - is 32 (for 25%). VT is 27 (for 25%). 85% of W&M admits took at least Calculus. |
| My kid is a preppie, athletic kid who has never once been to Busch Gardens or a water park, but does go to a lot of parties and to Bars a lot. Just like any other school, W&M has all different types of students. There is no one size fits all vibe nor does anyone, anywhere refer to it as CWM. |
| It is a comfortable fit for a very wide range of students except, perhaps, those who want a huge school or a heavy emphasis on sports. |
Other than this board where it has been used for a decade. Many CWM students get AP to WCUSA and BGW. |
Usually trolls here at least have some sort of aim or goal. You're just frankly weird... |
| Generally studious group, but lots of variety in the type of student. Many clubs to meet people who you can click with. My son is there now and is one of the more laid-back students. Works hard enough, but is very involved with campus activities. He does have a Busch Gardens pass and will go about 3 times a semester. Likes that he can walk just about everywhere he needs to go. |
+1! OP, do a search. There’s lots of threads. |
First time seeing this acronym here or anyplace else. No one calls it that. |
Do a search somewhere else. Trolls lurk here. |
| Imo W&M has become substantially preppier/sportier in the last two years |
Wow. Generalize much? I'm glad you think their stats are the same - their rankings are vastly different. Sheeple U continues to outrank W&M in every meaningful way. Glad your kids are enjoying it. |
Not undergraduate teaching, which I'd argue is a FAR more important metric than a lot of these other nonsense rankings |
