why is Gen z so fat and out of shape?

So we’re talking ages 12 to 27? OP’s observations don’t match what I see at my kids HS, my work, or the gym.

I think it’s the anti depressants and ADHD meds.

I mean, they're at the gym. What's your actual problem?

Also, a 605lb deadlift isn't average for 45 year olds, and you know it, it's just you humble bragging.

He’s headed for a hernia or has one. Sooooo

Your observations don’t mean squat. Epidemiological data shows 50% of all U.S. adults will be obese by 2030. Gen Z is the fattest generation in U.S. history.

YOu think these are causing weight gain?

ADHD meds often suppress appetite.

I’m a high school teacher. I don’t see many obese kids but I can see patterns - they don’t move much. They also move so slowly when they do. They don’t go outside and play like kids used to, and they prefer to be on their phone over any other activity. I took them to the zoo last year and they could barely handle the amount of walking and the hills! They’re just a very inactive generation unfortunately, which isn’t entirely their fault. The world changed and they have grown up when movement and outdoor time has been at an all time low

My gen Z young adults are as slim as can be. Dd barely his 107 lbs. ds in around 137. What you need to do is shut up and don’t run your mouth. Nobody wants to listen to your hate and your disgusting sense of superiority.

Cool thought but no

The ingredients in food, not being able to go out all day and come back at night when sun goes down, meds, screens.
My high school kid didn't leave his father's house for one month during summer. He is not depressed, he is a teenager. He plays rugby and had growth spurt- the only reason he is slim. It won't stay like it.
Some kids don't even remember being active and slim. Very hard to get back to something you don't even remember having.
I had a doctors appointment over the phone. I complained about sleep at 46. The doctor wrote out meds for that in a minute. I felt the difference first night. I can only imagine how many meds they write out every day or everything instead of telling us to get their butt out to sun and do something physical. Who listens.

Gen Z can't afford Wegovy, and OP is just lying.

Old fat people just give up and don't go to the gym.

Gen Z isn't the only adult generation alive in 2030.

OP stop it now.

Your generalization is absurd.

No this generation is not heavier than yours shut up .

Find something else for your brain cells.

Anonymous wrote:Seriously, when I go to the gym, so many Gen Z are tubs of lard. This 45 year old dog can deadlift 605 lbs, yet you see so many gen z huffing and puffing trying to run 3/4 of a mile on 5.5 treadmill setting. Man, Gen Z is so fat and out of shape when 40 and 50 year old somethings are in better shape than they are.

Why is this creep staring at other people for their entire treadmill cycle.

Why is this moron comparing his deadlift to running. Deadlifting is a fat person activity.
