The kids at Blair and Pooleseville can and should create a better cheaper replacement. |
And they do. And they charge an outrageous fee. |
How is this any different than the per-gallon cash vs credit prices at gas stations? |
You have a choice of has stations. |
And you have the choice of packing a lunch, paying by check, or paying online. |
I just learned this yesterday. I think I avoided this by adding all funds to one child's account with plans to transfer some to the other. We'll see how it works out and how long before they start charging for transfers... |
+1 MCPS should negotiate a bette contract or pay someone a few hundred bucks to develop a better program. The program is shit. It's highway robbery. |
We always send in a check. The fees are outrageously high. |
We have this vendor for FCPS but there is no fee for using. |
Probably FCPS pays the fees. |
Biden is going after junk fees like this. |
It's complete garbage. FCPS uses myschoolbucks for lots of things - art supply costs and whatnot. And they don't give other choices. These online middlemen are a complete racket - I'd be interested in a study of who owns them, and how much money they pull in for doing zero work. We can also talk about the parking people ParkMobile who have made parking exorbitant and add no value. |
And then they get scolded by the teachers for bringing food to class. Like, gtfo! I emailed the school to let them know that announcements needed to be made each time lunch ends with kids still in line so that teachers stop harassing them for being late or bringing food to class. |
It's especially mindboggling because MCPS has two similar vendors, with separate logins and fees: Schoolcashonline and MySchoolBucks.
This is why Brian Hull was fired. Operations is a hot mess. |
Someone else just posted about this last week. Yes, it's ridiculous that you're getting charged 2 separate fees for two kids. |
