As others have said, this is not an APS issue it is a teenager issue. You won't avoid it no matter where you go. In fact, I went to APS schools and the most drugs/smoking was definitely at the Catholic school nearby. Obviously that was 20 years ago but this is teenagers being teenagers unfortunately. |
Two years ago, a girl in 9th grade got in trouble for trying to charge her vape in the classroom on her APS issued laptop! You can’t make this stuff up.
Also, it’s not so secret issue that the vape shop up in Williamsburg Circle does not card kids |
There is no vaping at our Catholic middle school, our DD has a nose like a bloodhound and hasn’t caught a whiff. I think the threat of instant expulsion works |
👀 um ok. |
smokin in the boys room. I tell ya I was smoking in the boys room. Now teacher don't you fill me up with your rules bc everybody knows that smoking aint allowed in school.
Sorry, it's in my head now. |
It’s a problem in FCPS and had firsthand experience with students vaping in the school clinic bathroom. |
i was coming here to say this, it happened long before phones. but sure, let's blame the phones. |
Girls are ok with guys coming into the bathroom to hook up with other girls or is this girl-girl action? Guy’s bathrooms are disgusting so hard to imagine a girl wants to go in there to do it. |
From what I hear, girls are going into the boys giving BJ’s |
Oh, be-have, you kids! |
Brownsville Station, FTW. |
Co-sign on this. Oh man....the memories. I did a little bit of both hooking up (no shagging though, because ew) and smoking weed, and it was a RUSH. I also did this in FCPS in the 90s, so definitely not a new thing nor an APS thing. But, having said that, if I heard my kid is doing that today, then SHAME ON THEM AND SHAME ON ME! WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE ARE WE SENDING OUR KIDS!?!?!?!?!?!?!? |
What is wrong where girls feel compelled to dress scantily and do this??? |
Zyn is very popular among teenage boys in DMV |
And grown men. Next time you go to one of your kids functions at school look at how many middle-aged men have a ZYN packet in their pocket. No, that’s not bubble tape. |
