He was very beautiful in his 20s and 30s but his chain smoking ruined his looks by his 40s which is criminal considering how utterly good looking he was.

He was also a huge jerk IRL, esp towards women.

My favorite role of his was actually when he played Cesar in Asterix. He could be very funny.

Agree his looks went downhill in his forties. Still looks good in his sixties though!
