I was thinking how much different the energy feels this time. What the media did to Clinton in a sense vaccinated a lot of women against the sexist crap the media pulls and now they recognize it in real time. Lots of women recognized it back then but there were then a lot of women who really believed that sexism was over with so they were just attacking Clinton on her merits.

A reminder that George Washington was also childless and had step children. Is he really going to go there?

these attacks are nothing new but say reveal the character of the people who make them.

they are hypocrites if they want to support trump despite him being found liable of sexual abuse.

nikki haley has also had to endure similar racist and misogynist tropes. including many reports of her having affairs and inappropriate relationships with her staff.

hillary faced a lot too. it's weird for megyn kelly to admit she "twirled" for ailes when he would ask to see her ass and other sexist indignities at fox to get ahead and then make the comments she made.

A 47-year-old Republican-leaning independent from Michigan strongly disagreed. “I wouldn’t give [Harris] an entry-level job, let alone hire her for POTUS,” or president of the United States.

Typical White male condescension but it's also hilarious in how absurd it is to say this about a former senator and CA attorney general and current VPOTUS.

This is backfiring on Trump’s campaign. The racist Trump lovers are already not going to vote for Harris. It is energizing the democrats and independents. No better way to drive your opponent’s turn out than to infuriate their base. It’s likely to get younger voters to turn out in much larger numbers.

Well, there’s a racist and sexist comment.

Fact is 92% of her staff quit in the first three years of her vice presidency. Sounds like a nightmare to work with.

This is a great example of double standards at work. Do you consider workplace environment to be a problem for Trump? Bearing in mind his former employees who are presently suing him, declining to endorse him, and serving prison time. Or is this only a problem for you in a female candidate?

This is a Harris thread. She’s the new candidate. Time to take a look at her.

Since you’re so interested in me, I would love to have an excellent female president. She should be held to the same standards as any male candidate.

To be fair, that is a very low bar.

Is this supposed to mean something to me? A Republican woman from WY. What else would she say?

Like, literally anything else? Anything about the current admin and it's failures, maybe? You have to see how this is a horrible attack.

That’s pretty funny since she was only hired because of her slavish devotion to Trump.

Like what would she say if she was trying not to be racist and sexist you mean?

“I don’t support her and I don’t think my constituents will either”

Well if she wasn’t a total racist, she would turn the question to point out why JD Vance’s achievements and policy is more inline with Republicans. Or quite honestly, I am a Republican and don’t support Democrats. But nah, she went with racism.
