Left lane slowpokes are a daily problem that increase congestion.

If you read the articles when this law was made, you will see that one of the major reasons this law exists is to move traffic instead of causing congestion. They love their herd mental....

It is not illegal to drive at the speed limit in the left lane for whatever reason. It is illegal, however, to drive 1 mile over the speed limit in any lane. Simple as that.

PP is a moron who doesn't even know VA law. The law is "speed of traffic" -- not the speed limit. It's relative. If someone is coming up faster than you in the left lane of any multi lane, you move over. Hell, you should move over as soon as you see them approaching, if you're a responsible driver who's checking their mirrors every 2-3 seconds.

The law is "slowER than the speed of traffic" traffic keep right. Not "slower than the speed limit, keep right." It was written that way deliberately, and for a reason.

You get in the merge lane about a half mile before your exit. Or about 1 mile, and then drive to maintain the speed of traffic. If you can't drive a bit faster for 1 mile, you're inept on the road.
