He is disqualified under the Fourteenth Amendment. In time, he will be removed. Find someone who is qualified to be your champion.

"disqualified"? WTH are you talking about

If you are an insurrectionist, you can't hold office. I know it's strange since we have one running for president and the SC made it possible for him to be reflected again yesterday, but that is the law.

He wasn't convicted of insurrection. He was convicted for trespassing and disorderly conduct. He's not going anywhere. You should learn to read the room. The J6 prosecutions were a huge overreach and most of them will be pardoned, rightly, when Trump is back.

The state of New Mexico disagrees with your learned take. And the Supreme Court, fwiw.

Couldn't agree more.

More education and learning, and less pronouns and blm hate and violence.

What about if you have dementia? Does that make one qualified for school board?

Has anyone been convicted of having dementia and on the school board?

Don't worry, that is only confined to the presidency.

True. The whole world is having a good laugh at that.

I'll take that over a convicted felon any day all day.

Didn't the SCOTUS say two days ago that in "insurrection" never happened that wasn't the correct term used? OP I think you know this.

Nope. The New Mexico county commissioner Couy Griffin is disqualified from office by his participation on January 6th.

So is school board member Miles Adkins in Frederick County.

Sorry to burst your little little bubble, but neither Biden nor Trump are convicted felons by now.

That's not what's happening. Possibly delaying the sentencing hearing, and definitely going to be appealed. But no, the felony conviction is not "being undone".

Good luck with that. Removing and elected school board member for a trespassing charge will probably backfire by motivating republicans to show up and vote. Pick and choose your battles wisely, you are missing the forest for the trees. If Dems want to accomplish their goals they should focus on running candidates that can actually win elections, not trying get a school board member disqualified (for a trespassing charge) that was elected by the local parents and residents. Things are too partisan now and this will be seen (rightly or wrongly depending on the perspective) as a politically biased disqualification. Unless you want to help the Republicans win school board elections across the state and potentially the country, this is a mistake.

Couy Griffin had the same misdemeanor conviction. And he was properly removed from office by CREW.

This isn't a partisan issue. The Fourteenth Amendment applies to everyone, left and right.
