Didn't the SCOTUS say two days ago that in "insurrection" never happened that wasn't the correct term used? OP I think you know this.
Nope. The New Mexico county commissioner Couy Griffin is disqualified from office by his participation on January 6th. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/18/griffin-supreme-court-insurrection-clause/ So is school board member Miles Adkins in Frederick County. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/virginia-school-board-member-gets-12-days-in-jail-for-jan-6-riot-role-says-he-wont-step-down/3654482/
Good luck with that. Removing and elected school board member for a trespassing charge will probably backfire by motivating republicans to show up and vote. Pick and choose your battles wisely, you are missing the forest for the trees. If Dems want to accomplish their goals they should focus on running candidates that can actually win elections, not trying get a school board member disqualified (for a trespassing charge) that was elected by the local parents and residents. Things are too partisan now and this will be seen (rightly or wrongly depending on the perspective) as a politically biased disqualification. Unless you want to help the Republicans win school board elections across the state and potentially the country, this is a mistake.
