Would you go to an outside birthday party at a park in mid-November?

We would definetly come. Would the parents be miserable? Maybe. But it wouldn't be the first time I was at a playground where the children were running around happy as can be and the parents were all mumbling about how could it is. Of course I'm probably biased because my son isn't a huge fan of the indoor gym parties. So I prefer the outdoor, get them to run around and burn off some of the cake parties.

i think it generally gets too cold by halloween for an outdoor b-day party.

I am the poster with a question about 1st weekend of October Bday party for 4yo. I will absolutely go even in November. Fall in this area is my absolute favorite time of the year.

Yes!!!

I would come, but if it's a really cold day we might not be able to stay long with a baby.

I would come to be a good friend, but I wouldn't be all that happy about it. My DS gets sick really easily in cold weather, though.

Just curious for everyone saying it would be too cold for the parents and the parents would be miserable, don't you take your kids to outdoor parks or in the backyard in Nov/Dec anyway? I hate, and I mean I absolutely hate, being cold. For me anything below 60 degrees is reason to stay inside but I suck it up because my kids like to play outside.

Yep! And I would be so happy it wasn't the summer.

A typical b-day party is two hours - I bring DD to the park in November and December, but definitly not for two straight hours. Also - eating lunch and cake for a little one will be a little tough if they have mittens and a jacket on. Maybe I'm just a wuss, but I would be irritated by an outside party if it was lower than mid-60s out.

Sure, just be certain to have warm coco w/marshmallows for the kids and something that has a kick plus a warming effect for the parents

You may want to look into renting one of the county park facilties. That way, you have the "inside" in case of inclement weather, and the outside playground for the kids to run around in.

This is is a really good suggestion. I went to a December party at one of the Moco park facilities. The kids were able to run around outside, but could easily come inside if it got too chilly. Parents seemed happy. There were indoor activities, too.

Totally, and I would bless you for not subjecting us to an indoor germ factory party. Fall is the best season here and mid November is often mild or just a little brisk. I would be
really surprised if the kids needed to wear mittens. Afternoon might be better, to give the day time to warm up.
Fwiw, we have a late-October kid and always have some
outdoor backyard time.

Yes, I would most definitely come. Much better than one of those gym type places.
