i LOVE this outfit |
+1 To avoid looking like a Duggar, you really need to balance the coverage of the maxi with some skin (which is why a tank typically works well). If you have a large chest, a button down + maxi can make you look larger than you are. I find it more flattering to just find a maxi dress, as the continuous line is more slimming and it is easier to stay away from evangelical/mumsy style |
Did you find it? I want one too! |
Truly curious, where would one wear something like this? Long colorful skirt says dressed up, denim shirt says casual. I imagine just standing in the middle of a road doesn’t require a special outfit. |
| I like a body suit or tank with a jacket over top if you dont like to show your arms. A cute jean jacket would look great. |
A party? |
If you shorten the skirt enough not to trip, then pretty much anywhere. |
|
OP, why not try maxi dresses that have that "casual, billowy" skirt?
This would look sleeker on top, I think, but have the same look you like. |
|
I wear a coordinating t-shirt tucked-in and bloused out.

can she get some clothes to wear until she loses weight? |
Not the OP, but this is mean and obnoxious. What benefit did you expect the OP to glean from your mean-spirited post? |
NP. The image is from the blogger Wardrobe Oxygen who is local-ish to DC, I’m sure she has the skirt brand listed somewhere on her site. |
| Don't wear a maxi skirt. Anything long and billowing is a mistake. Some trends aren't meant for everyone. |
That's what a skinny person thinks a fat person should wear and it's absolutely wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about. We don't want to hide our bodies, PP, we want to celebrate them. |
A picnic, a friend's house, out to lunch, that's a pretty casual, every day outfit. |
