What top should a fat lady wear with a maxi skirt?

I’m talking about the casual, billowy maxi skirts.

I don’t like showing my upper arms so a tank or cami is out.
I prefer to not tuck in my shirt.

From what I understand billowy maxi skirts are supposed to be paired with fitted shirts, but fitted shirts don’t look good on me, so what else is there?

This. When it's hot out, get a nice white or other light colored linen shirt that's slightly fitted and longer, then tie it like in the picture. You'll keep cool and look great.

I would rethink the maxi skirt. That's just me. I accept that there are just some things I should not wear.
