So just like everything else Trump does, this charade around the black vote is also smoke and mirrors.

Also Kellyanne Conway is pretending that there were 8,000 people at that Black church event. 🤪

I think it's fine. Trump's folks believe this is real so they think they have the black vote in the bag.

We are a black military family. My husband is retired. We hang out with a lot of black military folks. NO ONE is supporting Trump. They are offended by him. They feel like their service has been disrespected.

I'm relieved to hear that. It's hard to imagine it would be otherwise - but it's still a relief to hear. I feel like I am in the upside down some of the time, here.

Anybody who looks at Trump and likens him to a black sports legend isn't firing on all cylinders.

The GOP has to do it this way, because there simply aren't enough people of color to do it organically.

Thank you to you and your family for the service to the nation!

It's not about getting more black supporters. It's about giving his moderate white supporters enough doubt about Trump's bigotry that they stay with him.

Blacks should never vote R. They will lose their affirmative action benefits. Employers will have no incentive to hire them over white and middle eastern candidates.

The Detroit event was not a Detroit only event. It was an event sponsored by Turning Point, USA so of course people were from out of town

This event was touted as Trump appearing at a Black church in Detroit. Why would anyone be from out of town?
