She had nothing to do with this. It’s all Brian Hull and April Key.

Agreed, Felder had nothing to do with this. I believe HR knew about these RIFs months ago which is why it took so long for the (original) involuntary placements to be placed. They have been on hiring pause in some areas for 3 months.

HR reports to Felder's chief of staff. It was the first change she made upon arrival. So yes, she has everything to do with it.

I forgot about that. Wow. Well she at least knew about it! Otherwise we have another case of a super “not in the know”

Felder took it upon herself to oversee the budget, and now that she messed up, she wants to blame anyone and everyone else.

BINGO! And MCEA was foolish enough to believe her lies and finger pointing.

Has Felder publicly spoken about the budget? I haven't heard her voice much opinion or defense of the plan.

Yes. She released a statement with Silvestre on May 24th about the budget plan.

Felder and Key have everything to do with this. And Henry Johnson. They are the inner circle right now and have essentially shunned everyone else in leadership.

The budget was in fine condition before McKnight left. MVA and other programs were restored, there were no talks about RIFs or not honoring contracts, county council was on track to approve the budget request and publicly praised Hull and the budget department for more transparency and collaboration then they had seen in years. Then Felder came in and ruined it all with her ego, stupidity, and her two cronies.

You must have been sleeping during the first round of involuntary transfers several months ago. Hull needs to go.

There are still many people waiting to be placed from those earlier involuntary transfers.

Can’t easily pin the blame on the superintendents. Between retiring Fed money, teacher pay raises, and the underfunded Maryland blueprint no county is able absorb these costs easily.

Did Frederick’s legal fees also increase 400%? Do they also use contractual services to cover tasks Central Office employees should be doing or to pay for things like the Superintendent’s Holiday party?

Maybe we could cut a couple hundred of the DEI jobs at the CO?

There are involuntary transfers every single year for the past 30+ years. That's how you balance a budget with enrollment and staffing.

Correct. But not this haphazardly.

Right, that part is on Key and Felder.

How many people are going to be let go or involuntarily transferred in each school?

I believe you cannot tell an applicant not to apply for a job. It has to be a fair and equitable process and all applications have to be considered equally.

So whoever is saying that Felder was told "not to bother applying" is creating a huge pile of BS.

That is what I was thinking too. EEO violation of that has happened.
