Dc invited to play on a team for $600. Not a money grab?

The whole team fee for Ulittles is (u8-u12) is 600 bucks. Are you sponsoring the team?

Last year it was $20 per person per day and parking was also $20 per car.

Incorrect. Let others enjoy. Sorry you did not get invited 😊

No, the person is correct. I'm not saying it's a money grab. It is what it is, but these amounts are correct. To me, if people are willing to pay, it's not a money grab. It's business. The line to get in (at least for first games of the day on day one) last year was over an hour. Most players had to get out and walk a mile or so to get there for for warm ups/game time. Food was reasonably priced I felt.

It's a big money grab. Its $25 per person to attend the event.

Then don't go. Expensive doesn't mean money grab.

It is a money grab. They spread the event over three days to collect entry fees. Its a poorly managed tournament. Communication is horrible. Schedule was suppose to be released on Monday and as of this morning still nothing.

I think you will find many many age groups combined or tiny when it comes out

Pros and cons are the same for this as it is for any major tournament in terms of the soccer. Team cohesion and chemistry is hit and miss at this event but the individual talent on display is at level comparable to any ABC leagues summer playoffs

If you think is expensive you kid must be playing rec. All tournaments have similar prices. Lots of good teams going, MLS Next, ECNL, etc. Nice games today!

Copa talento 2024 should be for the benefit of the players ,and not to enriched others. It is very disturbing how much money you have to pay per individual at the public park daily so you can see your kids play. it is definitely about money making deal .

Did they charge to park and then charge every person to enter again like last year?
Anonymous
No, parking was free. Entrance was charged. That is standard in other tournaments as well.

I honestly can't think of another tournament that charges entry fees. Maybe one of the EDP Cup tournaments at Tuckahoe? Nothing around here charges that I can think of. Jefferson Cup doesn't, Bethesda Cup doesn't and the lesser tournaments like OBGC, Virginian, WAGS, etc. They don't charge. ECNL Showcases do not charge at least not in Richmond, Florida, or SC. What other tournaments charge to enter?
