Commend the students! |
Yes for talking about the REAL issues. Also shows that type of meeting should be held more often (or at least publicized more). Students have a lot to say and need a platform to share. |
I was uncomfortable with how much the board members were putting the burden and responsibility for improving MCPS on the students. Especially scolding them about the opening of doors or confronting principals and school leaders.....Do they not understand how power imbalances work? Especially with minors? |
Because Central can't do their job, they rely on students to 'say something and do something.' Shame on mcps. |
Exactly. It was disgusting. |
New history content standards was another point that was discussed. |
But it's so much more fun to complain about every single thing MCPS/the BOE ever does! |
It's that way with idiots. Lots to complain about when they are such fools. |
Central Office has entered the group chat. |
Yup! ![]() |
How clever you think you are. |
Not as clever as you all who twist your brain into pretzels to excuse the incompetence and failures of MCPS and can't stand an iota of criticism and feedback if it isn't flattering or full of fluff and lies. Grow a spine. |
Everyone knows there are many problems to be solved. There are also good things happening. Have some perspective. |
Mental health. Opiod concerns. Later school times. Academic quality: expanding IB, Global Ecology, and special programs. modify excused absences for civic engagement. esol/eml. history content standards. |
If your house is on fire and someone points it out, do you whine and complain that they didn't notice how pretty your lawn is? Get a sense of urgency and prioritization. You sound ridiculous. |
