That's what I'd like to know and I've visited Sedona many times. I was just there again in March.

You can hike to the trail where the Pink Jeeps go and it's not a hard hike at all. It's called Little Horse to Chicken Point. Oh yeah, and it's FREE.

I think people just think it's something you HAVE to do when you go to Sedona. To me, it's a tourist trap. You can see so much on your own -- for free (instead of the hundreds of dollars these tours want) -- and the scenery you see on the hikes is better.

Why do you think there's only one trail you can book as a PJ tour?

There isn't; Broken Arrow is the most popular Sedona jeep tour and it goes here. The other sedona jeep tours are not popular for a reason.

You can hike on any one of the numerous trails (for free) but it's not the same as a jeep excursion. It's not like hiking is hard to find or there aren't hundreds of trails, everyone knows this. The point is there is hiking and there are jeep excursions, they aren't the same.

Those pink jeeps are a total waste of money. You’re crammed in with a bunch of other tourists going on bumpy roads. I was expecting a wild and fun time but it was tame and pretty boring. Huge waste of a few hundred bucks.

If you really want to off road, just rent a jeep and go about it yourself.

Most people can’t drive well or remember to keep right on a freeway. They won’t be offroading in a jeep in rough terrain.

Enchantment has a great location for hiking the trails in west Sedona. It has an awesome pool with amazing red rock views. October weather varies —- it may not be ideal pool weather or it may be perfect. It is relatively far away from the “hub” of restaurants in town as well as talapeque and the hiking in village of oak creek. The on site restaurants are great. Its remote location makes it feel quieter and more relaxing but there are many very nice hotels that are less expensive.

Broken arrow pink jeep tour has the benefit of not having to actually hike to that amazing view point. The hike isn’t particularly hard but it’s a work out especially in the heat and will take a minimum of 2hrs. Oct shouldn’t be prohibitively hot though.

The Devil's Bridge trail is great, but it will likely be crowded.

We LOVED our Pink Jeep tour. As with most things, the guide makes all the difference and ours was great but we thoroughly enjoyed our ride.

Agreed, we had a great time. The point is that we don't want to rent a jeep and off road ourselves. Our family loved it.

I'm at Enchantment now. It is top notch. DCUM recommendations for the win.
