Do most men prefer Blonde hair?

Blonde hair that is both bleached platinum and long is also a specific look that I'm sure attracts a lot of attention since it's so unnatural looking and kind of Playboy Bunnyish.

it's that Marilyn Monroe thing.

I have dark brunette and I do a blonde ombré.

I notice a huge difference with blonde privilege.

Bleach blonde looks like an easy bimbo. Straight men like that. Natural blonde doesn’t get hit on as much. But natural blonde adults are only 2% of the population.

Natural looking colored blonde hair is very expensive and not that common.

I am pretty with dark blonde, light brown hair. When I go platinum (which is a pain) I look hot. When I go "brown" I look cute. Much different how I am perceived.

I think women with brown hair who still get tons of attention look like Megan Fox, not like the girl next door.

A lot of blonds dye their hair dark so probably not.

I think I look more attractive with brown hair (with highlights), but I get a ridiculous amount more attention with long plat blonde hair.

The attention is both positive & negative.

Positive = Way more men seem to find me attractive, even if my face looks bad. It's like the long, bright blonde hair gives an instant halo effect.

Negative = More aggressive approaches and harassment... people talk down to me and speak to me like I'm a moron. I get zero respect in work environments.

I am turning 30 soon, so I thought I'd revamp my appearance. After months of being platinum blonde (and feeling like I look kind of uglier & more washed out imo), I've concluded that most men prefer blonde hair. I get hit on and approached constantly. Even sitting in a hotel lobby, waiting in line, going to the grocery store or the bank. It seems like men find me way more attractive than before (but I also experience more random aggression and harassment). I can't even go pick up food at a restaurant without getting comments on my appearance.

But looking at old photos, I seriously think I look more attractive as a brunette. So I don't know whether to stay blonde or not.

I mean…I am a brunette and I also got approached constantly in my 20s.

Didn’t 99 percent of all women in their 20s get approached. I’m a dark brown Black woman and I did. I was a cutie w a brick house body.

Going blonde: Think of it like picking a red rental at Avis - you briefly get more attention and a lot more tickets…

-brunette fan through and through (even though 50s can be harder call with gray)

How about a softer shade of blonde? Very rare for a non natural blonde to look good with a platinum shade.

I’m not sure what you want us to tell you, but I think many people look best somewhere in the middle ground between “long platinum blonde” hair or very dark brunette. That’s why highlights, while pricey, tend to be a popular option.

Even natural blondes often look off with long platinum hair

Yep, I think that’s the power of youth! plus its prime dating age and people in their 20s are putting themselves out there more.

Blond hair, whether it is platinum, light brown or anywhere in between is striking and noticable. That is why blondes get checked out a lot. My natural hair color is light brown/dark blond. I get highlights and lowlights. In the past, I have dyed my hair a darker brown and it was like putting on an invisibility cloak. I agree with pps that young women get hit on/checked out regardless of hair color. I am early 50's now and still turn heads. I know much of the attention is because my hair is noticable, but I am pretty, too.

If you dye your hair you won’t have to worry about this for long. Keep dying your naturally blonde hair brown and it won’t go back to blonde as easily (unless you want to spend a ton of $$ and upkeep)
