Why do you DCUM?

Boredom, anonymity, and because a lot of you have the same sense of humor as me

Because I literally can’t stop. This site is insanely addictive.

+1 I was blocked for a day a little while ago and it was one of the most peaceful days I've had in a long time.

But also there's nowhere else I can give in to my full fury and frustration about politics - or get so many links for nice cotton sundresses. I also really do like taking about TV with people on the entertainment board.

Just how my brain works - and the nature of my day job - I'd be on some other message board so many hours a day if not this one.

I have some fans here
And yes, also some haters
When they strike, I ranch

Because my brain is incurably active and I feel a compulsion to be in constant communication.

Plus, boredom.

Agree with op and most of these responses. I was almost completely done when I read some weird posts yesterday being really nasty to someone who had miscarried a few times. I like to think we post to help each other but it might not be the case and it feels like I'd be better served getting off completely. It's a goal I need to set.

This is so interesting. What a clever idea!

My goal is to be helpful as I have received tons of helpful info here over the years.

However, once in a while a poster is so whiny/annoying/batsh!t that I can’t help but be snarky.

Because I made my Facebook password very hard to keep me off there, and this website doesn't require a log in.

Some commas would help you.

Report. Jeff is a reasonable person. Report it, if it's heinous it will be taken down.

It’s habit, I’m bored and always have it up on my phone. I try to be nice and helpful, although I don’t always succeed. I’m not downright nasty like some posters though. I like to read the travel and food forums for ideas.
