Why would OP want to mimic what people in London wear? How strange.

LOL. you're kidding, right?

No. What a weird impulse, to worry about being regarded as a tourist when you are, in fact, a tourist.

I wore these last year in London. I also wore birkenstock sandals. London is so diverse in ethnicities and styles. Look at this instagram. https://www.instagram.com/londonersinlondon_/

Paul Green has very comfortable fashion sneakers if you want a more versatile shoe that can go with anything including dresses. This version is so lightweight and comfortable for all day walking. They are pricey though. The salesperson at Nordstrom recommended them and I was sold after trying them.

As soon as spring/summer rolls around, this question gets asked 1000 times. Can people no longer dress themselves? It’s such a yawn.

London is like New York. There are people from all over the world wearing every type of clothes and no one gives a crap about you and what you are wearing.

It isn’t like some small town in France or Italy where they will look disdainfully at your sweatpants.

I wore Nike court visions last year. They have arch support and looked cute with all my dresses. I did have a pair of comfortable sandals too when I didn’t want sneakers.

+2. I was there 2 months ago. It's super crowded with tourists and no one cares.

I got this advice from this board back in March and happily wore my Hokas through London and Paris. Excellent choice for me.

The easiest way to spot Americans abroad is white sneakers

So what? You ARE a tourist. Embrace it.
