Custody battle over Bryn. |
She’s the most toxic and terrible of them all. She profits and then turns around and whines. |
I live in San Francisco and there's a place in the Castro called Hot Cookie that sells those, but chocolate covered coolie popsicles. Tons of tourist kids eat them laughing while their parents laugh and film. |
| I never watched her on the Housewives shows but remember her from the Apprentice and skinny girl products. I listened to the first episode of the divorce podcast today and it was so tedious and didn't reveal anything other than he lied about where he parked his car the night he met her so he could spend more time with her. In a nutshell, does anyone know why they got divorced so quickly? She said he wasn't physically abusive? |
I haven’t listened to the podcast but I did watch her spin-off, a million years ago. It was obviously a long time ago, but I remember having the impression that she just didn’t seem to like being married. It seemed like she latched onto Jason because he was stable, but the whole thing got old for her quickly. I remember some episode where she was basically talking about how much she was struggling with the fact that he wanted his parents to spend some time with the baby. I know that in-law visits can be quite taxing, believe me, but taken in context of everything, it just seemed like she had no desire to be part of a larger, functioning family. I’d imagine that a functioning family was probably triggering for her, given how she grew up. In another episode, she was crying about how Jason basically told her she was damaged and how she thought that was so over the top of him. He was probably at the end of his rope. Like someone else pointed out upthread, she’s burned through many many many people. |
I was sitting here wondering how a popsicle could be shaped like a show AND THEN I GOT IT. I WATCHED THE WHOLE SHOW AND IT TOOK THIS POST FOR ME TO GET IT |
| My guess is the divorce took that long to finalize because they both had the means to keep fighting, over everything. DH has a friend who spent $100k in attorney fees fighting over which parent could pick up the daughter from dance class on Thursday nights. When you have the money and the desire, you can fight over anything. |
| Didn’t they fight for years over the apartment they bought while married? |
| I’m sure they’re both terrible, but she won full custody which means he was probably worse. |
SHE bought it. With her Skinny girl money, I think, but then he lived there and wouldn't vacate it. I'd have to look up all the legal wrangling and why she couldn't get him to leave. If you watched RHONY, when she came back she referred to herself as "homeless" because she couldn't live in the apartment with him there. |
That is so sad for that poor child. |
She just needed a sperm donor. |
+1 to the above. In one episode, she "allowed" him to invite his friends over to watch basketball, and she clearly was bored out of her mind. It seems to me that they were just terribly, terribly mis-matched and unfortunately made it much worse by fighting over everything during the demise of the marriage. I feel so sorry for their daughter. |
No. She DARVO’d that man for years. There was only so much abuse that he could take. His response to her years ago was the classic reaction of someone snapping after years of narcissistic abuse. But she was able to play victim since she had the money and fame. She is a manic mess now and can no longer keep it together as often as she could before. PP with the details on her having constant turmoil in her relationships was spot on. |
He treated her like shit when married and ramped it up to psycho when divorcing, so yeah. |
