FCPS gets this information. It's always provided by any test administrator. Whether they want to distribute it is another thing altogether. Some schools are distributing it, others will say "we don't have it." Isn't that literally illegal under VA law for a school not to give information they have on your child?

I don't need to see my kid's IAAT raw breakdown, but I would be freaking out if I asked for something the school had and they refused me, unless I'd signed away my right to it.

I'm not sure about the legality of it all, but I do think it's in the schools (and District's) best interest to provide this to parents, if the parent asks. It's usually a parent who wants to see whether the kid needs additional help in certain areas. In my opinion, and I'm a parent who received this report, it's an important data point. My kid didn't get >91. It's fine. He'll be fine, nonetheless, but when he knows he didn't make it, he wondered where he fell short. A percentile report doesn't give him that vantage point.

I can certainly see how that would be helpful. I remember two years ago, though, when my son took it, there was a woman on here wanting the full report and her kid scored in the 99th percentile. Can't really see how it would be important in her case.

How about "My friend at a different school received this score report. Has our school received it yet? If so, I would like to see it. Thank you."

How about: FCPS school's are providing this information to parents who are requesting this. If you could please ask Central to provide the detail that the test administrator sent on the child's IAAT result, I would appreciate it.

You don't necessarily need to include "DCUM". Administrators are wise enough to know that it may be available and that many residents of Fairfax also know others who are in different Regions. This is a fact, so I doubt they'll be asking for names and schools.

My DC is currently an 8th grader. When she took IAAT in 6th grade I foolishly asked her not to randomly mark left over questions and she didn’t. 86 percentile.
I wrote to the middle school principal informing him about her past performance and he assured me that teachers will asses at the beginning of the year and if found to
to be taken into algebra 1 and she was accepted into algebra 1 in 7th grade.
I owe it to this forum and parents of my kids friend who encouraged me to appeal.
My kid got accepted into TJ.
