| Rumor is that victim was an 8th grader? |
|
But it is just a rumor:

| Is there a reason that the Metro does not have high, metal, floor to ceiling gates gates, and multiple high, metal, floor to ceiling turn styles, like parts of Europe? Is it a fire code violation, because if so, that is too bad. |

My kid saw it happen. Teens jumping another teen. A friend tried to stop them from beating up the kid and when they wouldn’t, he pulled out a gun.
Horrific scene, see by kids from Latin(s), WLA, Perry, Truth, Brookland Middle. |

So sad. That's someone's baby.
When is it enough for Bowser et al? I can't really believe that any of those people actually support "black lives" these days without any action to reduce crime. |
So the shooter was defending a kid who was getting jumped? |
I’m sorry. That’s got to be traumatic to witness that! |
This story is in conflict with what is being reported. So take it with a grain of salt. |
| There's crime everywhere. |
Depending on shooter's age, in DC may only hold until 21, no matter how many cameras. Remember the young girls who killed the Uber Eats driver? Schools need to have metal detectors. Kids should not have guns in their backpacks. |
| My Latin kid (graduated) used to take the metro every day. Horrifying. They are going to need to put an all hands on deck safe passage police presence at that stop for all the kids commuting to school. |
| Build prisons. Warehouse those for decades who commit any crime with a gun. You kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone: control guns and lockup criminals using said guns. |
| Having watched a girl get beat down on the playground by Brookland Middle students this saddens me deeply but doesn't shock me. And, yes, I called the police. |
