William and Mary Spring Pathways

I would just email them and ask. But I get your point.

Does anyone know if you can attend the Day for Admitted Students if you’re considering Spring Pathways? Technically you’re not admitted, you’re still on the waitlist.

When your child logs on to the portal, is there a link to register? If so, then your child can probably attend; otherwise, probably not.

Anyone’s kid do the community college option?

Are any waitlisted (spring pathway) kids planning on attending the admitted student's day?

What is the community college option - I thought you had to do a semester abroad.

You can do community college if you prefer. Just need 12 hours and a 3.0 for the semester.

Wow - it seems like almost anyone waitlisted would want this option -seems like an easy and affordable way to get into William & Mary.

+1 It's a great option.

Why would anyone choose the verto option when it's nearly $30k? I'm genuinely curious. Even for people with the money, it seems like a lot. Also, later on there are many affordable and better study abroad options once admitted to W&M.

If you think about it, verto is $29k + another semester of WM is $21k instate. That’s $50k, which admittedly is higher than in-state, but it is only $7k more than a full year of William and Mary.

Plus, it is a little more exciting going to London, Seville or Florence than to go to community college for the fall.

I appreciate that W&M supports both the more exciting one for those who can afford it and the sensible one for those that save money. Neither is a "bad" option at all but they may appeal to different people in different situations.

+2 The fun of a study abroad semester can be a nice carrot for choosing the delay-start option and still is lower cost than a lot of comparable private schools.

Are any of the spring pathway admits going to DFAS?

My thoughts exactly. DS could benefit from a bit of a break (12 credits community college not a bug stressor).

PP … typo “not a big stressor”
