I have not had issues with Old Navy jeans wearing out.

OMG. Those are old-lady pull-on pants. OP, you don't want to do this.

NYDJ, Democracy — which I got at Nordstrom’s Rack for a very reasonable price.
Good American — on sale. My current favorites came from Universal Standard. They have good sales, and I actually got mine free as part of a promotion.

Np, not plus size but definitely curvy! Are all styles of Amanda good for a curvy fit? I just looked them up and like the high rise boot cut. I haven’t found a good curvy fit jean since Levi’s discontinued the 529 curvy.

Levis. They have a variety of styles at Macy’s — both in the Misses and Plus size sections (size 16 could be in both sections). Totally economical, stretchy (depending on the style), and look great.

Torrid has nice jeans. I've switched away from old navy to theirs in the past few years. Some styles have more or less stretch than others, so if you like a thicker denim, they have it

I LOVE Angels Forever Young plus size jeans from Amazon. They’re inexpensive, come in a variety of styles, and are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned.

I picked up a pair of NYDJ at a thrift store recently and love them. They fit well and are very flattering.
