Am I supposed to be rooting for the almost-50 yr old man to have a couple more kids with his replacement wife (seriously, she's just brunette Gwyneth in many respects)?

Good for them, I guess. I give it 10 years, tops.

He’s like a billionaire musical genius, and still handsome, so why wouldn’t he go for a younger woman? Especially if he wants more kids.

You’re infantilizing a grown ass 34 year old woman. Stop it.

I'm guessing she wants to have a kid, and they decided they wanted to be in a trad relationship when it happens.

+1 no reason to actually get married at this point unless she’s pregnant or wants a kid now within a traditional marriage.

DP, but would assume that her looks are her currency and relevancy in her industry- so would assume not that she doesn’t want kids, but wanted to wait as long as possible before having them for career reasons.

Oh, please. Goldie Hawn would disagree. Not everyone needs to be married.

Not everyone wants to have babies. Good for her for waiting until she felt ready.

At their age, it doesn't take six years of dating to propose. It's quite sad to wait that long. Should have been married four or five years ago. When you know, you know.

OP, are you the same poster who's concerned about other women not getting engagement rings?

Eh. Some of us find a ring less important, and still know.

You are so unbelievably sexist! Martin already has kids and who says every women wants them? And finally what does it matter to you that they are "finally" engaged..it isn't your life!

You say this with such confidence! Repeat after me..you don't know her so why assume the worst? Would you call Gwyneth's husband her "replacement" husband?

Good thing it isn't your life and none of your business!
