Is anyone else the fat sibling?

Same and grateful that I don't have siblings for that reason, honestly. The worst part is I am estranged from the paternal side of the family which is fat, so I always felt very uncomfortable hanging around the maternal, thin side. There was some comment on Family Guy about how unlucky Meg is that she has Lois for a mother but took after Peter... that's me.

I'm the fat laid back sibling compared to my type A, triathlon doing older sibling

Don't care! I'm more fun.

I'm the fat sibling. Doesn't bother me one bit.

Nah we are all fat in my family.

I'm the fat one (have always been bigger than my sister, but now am legit fat), but I'm 5 years older and she's starting to catch up. But there are a lot of other aspects about her life, family, location, work that I wouldn't trade for. We're all different and getting to a place of acceptance of that has been helpful for me.

I'd rather be the fatty than the narcissist.

It doesn’t bother me at all. I was always the overweight sibling and I’m obese now in my late 40s. My two siblings are still super skinny. One has severe anxiety and a type A personality. The other has severe anxiety and addiction issues. I’m laid back and wouldn’t trade places with either of them. They don’t have it easier than me and my weight struggles.

I’m the lean one, sister is fat. She travels a lot so her jet lag messes up with her sleep patterns. She loves her red meat too. Am I jealous? Let’s just say we are very different people.

Me! The rest of my immediate family are all thin. My dad jokes that I got his grandmother’s genes.

I’m the fat sibling in a family of six adult children. That really sucks.

This threads reeks of one person sock puppeting almost all of the “responses.”

Same. Nobody is really fat but I'm definitely the slimmer. It really is genetics. We all have different body types. Some were just build short and squat to survive colonial winters.

I happen to be the parental favorite, which is actually much more unfair to her.

How do you know you are the favorite?

I wasn't fat until after middle age so it's an incentive to lose weight before big family events. I've got a year before a nephew's wedding. 😉

I have an underweight child who needs to gain weight. Her doctor suggested eating more healthy fats. My father said or she could sit next to her mother. I don't even know what that means but clearly a dig at my weight.

Omg what a hurtful thing to say
