| Superstars, a club that is just 3 years old, beat the Potomac Top Boys team in the 2015 Division of the Virginia Super Cup to win the tournament |
What is the Virginia Super Cup? Looks like a 4th team tounrament |
Also looks like PSA won the first match handily. https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24017/schedules?team=2027867 |

Agreed great weekend overall. How did Alexandria/McLean/Loudoun do? |
Yep, our club celebrating winning 2nd and 3rd team tournament all while pretending the Jeff cup isn’t a thing. |
Yes, some clubs had a bad weekend at the different tournaments, not just at Jeff Cup. Obviously not all, because that's literally impossible because someone has to win. |
| Many don’t do team training in winter so they all look bad at these early tournaments after time off. |
🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆 That's pretty darn funny |
Did a local club hurt your feelings? |
That's great! Thanks for the recap! |
U9? Seriously You're getting worked up about U9 kids? |
|
There were U9 games over the weekend with scores like 13-11. 😂 |

Jeff Cup was a mess in our experience.
They scheduled the boys to play on grass fields at 8am on Saturday. It rained all afternoon/evening on Friday and through the entire night. It was still raining when we showed up for warm-ups at 7:15am. After warming up and getting soaked for 45 minutes, we were told at 8am that the game was postponed until 5pm ... Ridiculous. Even the most pedestrian house league has someone tasked with checking field status around 6am and sending out cancellation/delay notices. In this case, it had been raining since the day before so you'd think that someone running the tournament would have been sure to check the field status early and make the call -- nobody was caught off guard with this weather. But no, let's have everyone get up at the crack of dawn and schlepp to the field and stand around for an hour getting soaked before postponing the game ... Very lame. |
