How are the tournaments going this weekend?

It's Jeff Cup Boys, Alexandria Full and Arlington (up to u15) weekend. How are things going? Has try out season upped the crazy?

My only hot take from ASIST:
1) There was a coach from a team wearing red that lined his kids (tween girls really) up execution style against a wall for their half time corrections and
2) the parent sidelines were pleasantly silent. Well done parents.

Looks like Green teams are not playing, just white. Odd, since Arlington, Vienna, PWSI, SYC, Loudoun, GFR, VSA, and BRYC all have their RL or top teams there. There are even a number of Beach and Richmond strikers teams.

Saving themselves for Jeff cup

It was a bad showing for a lot of programs' younger teams compared to their fall tournaments. I heard a few clubs had a number players leave mid year in the u-11 and younger ages and the scores seem to reflect.

The u10 boys fields for 7v7 Jeff cup were a joke. Puddles and mud everywhere balls completely stopping in standing water on routine passes and shots, kids slipping everywhere. They need a better plan for rain.
