| Einstein and NYU will definitely be the best medical schools in the country. No contest. |
I know, but the schools should insist on it. |
This is not how it works. The best medical schools are primarily determined by the research at each school. |
Difficult with kids who have asthma |
| But they don’t have a climbing wall. |
It’s not all about your snowflake. |
Do you think pp's kid is the only kid in the country with asthma? Or some other disqualifying condition? |
| DH's alma mater! This is outstanding news for future Einstein grads and will hopefully encourage more bright kids to go into medicine. FWIW DH graduated from Einstein with 250K in debt (which we have thankfully paid off). |
Which underlines the fact that it’s not merely a free ride to med school. Asthma or no, it’s not for everyone. |
|
I’d be more thrilled if the takers were guaranteeing they’d go into general practice, pediatrics, etc.
But when they all go into orthopedics or other high-paying specialties and end up making buckets of money anyway…. |
Their acceptance rate is already sub 4%. Almost every kid going to medical school is a perfect student, how much brighter do you want? |
| The medical school in Bethesda is free |
I'm thinking of all the kids we went to college with (DH and I went to same undergrad) who went to work on Wall Street, rather than pursue medicine because - in part - you can make a lot of money in finance right away and med school is $$$. |
Yes, idiot the "Bronx" It is one of the best medical schools in the country. OMG just stop. |
My first thought. That's amazing . . . and will be impossible to get into. |
