Revolution GA Teams Complete?

Such a ridiculous lie.

GA allows clubs to roster 30 but you can only play 18 in games. BTW ECNL rules are exactly the same.

Most GA teams have between 16 and 20 players. Some like to have less because they plan to bring on more during the season and some choose to have more in case someone can’t attend games. Which happens more and more often as they get older. BTW most ECNL teams are exactly the same.

2 keepers, 16 field players means 10 starters and 6 reserves. That's not too crazy.
especially when you play 40 minute halves with no RE entry in the half

Revolution coaches like to pick 6-7 players as their favorites and play those players the entire game. The other players split their time 60-40.

So does every coach on every team since the beginning of time.

^this is true. It’s also not unreasonable assuming these favorite players are the strongest ones. My DD is a defender. That back line rarely sees subs. Midfielders are another matter. That’s true at every level of the game.

Looks like VRSC added more GA ID sessions over the next 3 weeks. I guess turnout wasn’t so good over the last 2 weeks.

You believe your player is the strongest one because a youth coach played them more....until your coach leaves mid season and your child doesn't have a team. These coaches don't really develop your player, they play them because it helps them win games. 2-3 years down the road and your child can't compete because they still try to beat their opponent one on one and the defense collapses on them.

Your player plays defense and never learns to stand out then she doesn't get selected at the spring tryout because she can't receive the ball.

I personally counted approx 40 girls came out for 2012 ID session this week. Is that good or bad?

Apparently not enough as they’ve scheduled more sessions over the next 3 weeks.

Considering VRSC or FCV for my DD.

Likely the max, 18.

Is that a GA or 2012 max (or both)? Trying to square that relatively low number with other posts about huge ECNL rosters.

Seems there will be a GA1 team and apparently a secondary reserve GA2 team for a total of two GA teams for one age group. Is this standard to have two GA teams for the same age group or are these shenanigans to collect maximum $dollars? Torn between this G1 offer or an ECNL spot on another new team. No clue on quality of coaches!!

What do you mean by an ECNL spot on another new team? Do you already have the offer?

$henanigan$, indeed. "Congrats on making the GA2 team! Here's your GA patch for your jersey. Best of luck at your EDP/NCSL games."

How can you have 2 GA teams, and what is a GA2 reserve team? Just a NCSL/EDP team with GA2 in their name at the same club where they have GA?
