It wasn't boomers. Don't you remember Obama's push for "College for all." And, it just so happens that it was HE who took over the student loan program. Coincidence? |
I turned 18 the September of my freshman year of college. |
You sound like an idiot and it’s apparent that’s not on the boomers |
OP here, this was kind of my question. Are we trying to have it both ways treating 26 year olds (actually the law in DC is under 25 I think, sorry!) as children, but then treating children as adults before (as in your example) or when they turn 18? Like, releasing kids with clean records at 18 instead of keeping them incarcerated until they are 25 and presumably have matured into better judgment? |
| You know how you can vote when you're 18 but you can't legally drink until you're 21 and you can't serve in Congress until you're 25 and you can't be president until you're 35? It's like that. |
People can stay on their parents insurance until they are 26. What is your point? |
the bolded is actually false |
| The same people who think we shouldn't incarcerate people under 26 because their brains aren't fully developed are the same ones pushing to lower the voting age to 16. |
We should definitely raise the voting age. |
It's more complicated than you are clearly able to absorb. Also, it's not Dems, it's some progressives. All of the studies state that especially for boys - they really don't mature until their late 20s. They also do more bad things in groups. With that said, they still no right from wrong. There are many criminals in jail who turn 35 and are like, what the hell was I thinking. As a Dem, I don't believe in gender affirming care for youth. I just don't. Most Dems I know don't either. |
We aren’t going to solve the problem with adding more alcohol. |
Thank you. |
| I was a multi-millionaire by 28 and 2 of my kids started businesses and did the same by 30 as well. Leave us alone! |
Damn you, Poe's Law! |
Yes, PP needs a new news source if he believes the crap he just wrote. |
