Sometimes it’s just where I’m at with my cycle. You can try hydrating or having a special drink (like a seltzer), chewing gum, or switching to a low calorie snack like plain popcorn. |
Yes! Notice how op did not respond. People don't like tough love. But we need it more in this world. From: the tough love poster. |
Our internal circadian clock increases hunger and appetite during the evening. You are letting yourself get too hungry. Eat something with a lot of fiber and a little protein if you’re starving before dinner. I usually have leftover roasted vegetables that I toss into (bagged, washed and shredded) kale - add some garbanzo beans and a vinaigrette. Whatever you choose it should be super quick to prepare- in a pinch a handful of unsalted nuts is better than half the Cheez-its box. You will be fuller and less frantic and eat less at dinner. Allow yourself a dessert every night- two cookies with your tea or a pudding cup. |
$20 says you dish it out but can't take it. "The temptation here is to imagine that we had good motives and reasons when we really didn't. We "constructively criticized" someone who needed it, when our real motive was to win a useless argument. Or, the person concerned not being present, we thought we were helping others to understand him, when in actuality our true motive was to feel superior by pulling him down." The world is tough enough. Nobody needs your unsolicited "tough love" without consent. Use it on yourself and sober up. |
Life in the US is not a tough world. When you have a situation that a person can’t manage their food intake on effectively limitless energy availability that’s a luxury gone wrong. Stating the obvious facts is not “tough love.”
Among the reasons for obesity in the US is random and unstructured eating. Suggesting to correct that is extremely reasonable. |
