Did you travel year end 2023/into 2024 without getting Covid?

Same. Traveled out West and picked it up. First time.

We flew LAX to DC and our youngest caught a horrific cold on the way back.

The rest of us got lucky, but we had a terrible fall of multiple illnesses so I feel like we generally have a lot of immunity right now to whatever is floating around.

I got it this fall, on a trip to Croatia (with a group of Americans. I am sure I got it from them). Note that I wore a mask in the plane and bus, but not at meals.

I had not had it before.

If you are traveling with anyone fragile or old, bring Paxlovid.

Why does it matter if it was Covid? I got a non-Covid cold on Dec 7th that lasted almost 5 weeks. I would have rather had Covid.

Yes, and I'm immune compromised. We flew unmasked. Only precaution was the booster we got in Sept.

We haven't traveled masked since 2021. Since we've gone to California, Florida, Chicago and Denver. We haven't caught covid from any travel. DC brought it home from school once in 2021.

Traveled extensively, no covid or flu or colds of any kind. No masks.

We traveled in January and came home healthy. Several other people we were with came home with Covid. Seems we just dodged the spreading event, which was the day we left.

It just takes one person so I felt it was mostly dumb luck.

I do sanitize the airplane seats (arm rests, tray table, all the knobs above) these days. That does seem to help with general colds etc.

This year yeah. 4 of us. 6 cases of Covid since the beginning. Only 2 of those cases seemed connected to travel, but those were 2022.

It's a crap shoot.

Got it over spring break 2022. Have been taking about 5-6 trips a year since and no COVID. Three flights over winter break.

I was worried about schools getting hit hard by everything this month. I've attended a few kindergartener birthday parties this month and only spotted one kid who looked like she had a cold. I'm surprised. It the kids were going to spread whatever they picked up over break, we'd be seeing it by now.

I flew with the kids before Christmas, no special precautions, no one got sick.

My kids saw my exes parents for 2 days, they (grandparents) started feeling sick while they were there. My ex, his wife, and 1 kid all got Covid. Kid was asymptomatic-I only tested because the adults were all really sick. Other kid never got it.

No.

We traveled after Christmas for a week to a cold urban environment and did all the things indoors. Never masked. No one got covid.

We had all been vaccinated with the updated shot in early December. For what that's worth. Which might not have been much.

Six of us traveled to Asia over Christmas/into the New Year. Three weeks total. My husband caught a mild cold that lasted just under a week. He didn’t test, so we don’t know if it was covid.

He masked frequently but inconsistently while he was sick. The rest of us didn’t mask and didn’t get sick.

Travelled to the Philippines with stops in Tokyo and Korea in late 2023. No mask, no COVID.
