Did you travel year end 2023/into 2024 without getting Covid?

Any tips?

Seems to be everywhere and lots of people coming off holiday trips said they got it.

Yes mid-December. LAX to DC. We traveled unmasked. None of us caught so much as a cold. There are no tips really, just wash your hands. And if you get Covid it is what it is, you're going to be fine.

Wash your hands? For an airborne virus being exhaled out by others around you?

Yes! I caught another cold like virus but no Covid.

Tips? Dumb luck.

Yep. It's a lot of luck and genetics. We went south for summer break 2021 and it was fine. Nobody masked down there and upon return, our fam of 4 were all fine.

We got it this yr just living our lives on a daily basis. No idea how. DH got it randomly last Nov. none of us got it at all and he did not isolate - tested after 3 days so by that time it wouldn't have mattered we thought.

I really think it's like contagious like any other virus - do your best to protect but what else can you do except never go out?!

We caught something but no one ever tested positive for Covid, despite testing several times.

it's been 3 years, have you learned nothing? YES WASH YOUR HANDS! "....Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if you have symptoms of acute respiratory illness...." Covid is very low on the list of worries I have - I got my required vaccinations, and I washed my hands frequently. So far, so good! WASH YOUR HANDS.

Yes, several times between Nov 2023-Jan 2024. We did nothing special-no masks. None of the 5 of us ever got sick.

Just got it last week - this variant is very quick to infect. So far it's like a very bad cold w/ sore throat and congestion. High fever first day. Thinking back sneezing was first symptom several days prior to fever.

I left for a month-long trip abroad a couple weeks ago and really didn’t want to get Covid or anything else so I wore a mask from the minute I walked into the airport until the minute I left. And I wore it on the plane entire time. It’s not something I do but I just didn’t feel like getting sick. On the way back. I’ll probably not wear a mask. But all I know is I didn’t get anything and I’m glad I didn’t. It was a minor inconvenience to wear the mask but worth it to me.

Went to Puerto Rico over the long MLK weekend, didn't mask, was fine.

Similar to PP, I wore a mask out but not back in my trip earlier this month, the reason being I was attending a meeting with a lot of people who have disabilities who I simply didn't want to infect. Coming back, I didn't care as much and didn't mask. Never got sick. But I did wash my hands a lot.

Generally yes - traveled internationally in late November, and domestically for work in mid-December and early January.

Last January I did get Covid either during or traveling home from vacation.

Same, week before Christmas.

I don't have any tips.

We traveled over Christmas break with my mom who ended up with Covid. I have no idea how we avoided it and she got it. We also have done a long weekend trios. None of us got it and we didn't wear masks. DH, DS, and I all tested numerous times as we all have activities or work commitments where we wouldn't want to expose people to Covid.
