| I love the dozens of end runs around the vote that the GOP is planning on. |
Joe Lieberman hasn’t been a Democrat in decades and was on the short list for Trump’s FBI Director. |
The plan is to make Trump the President, so No Labels not having any members of Congress is not an impediment. |
This is how serious No Labels is about minimizing how bad Trump is, from a No Labels leader and former Democratic governor of Missouri. Beyond parody. https://www.notus.org/2024-election/no-labels-wants-to-save-america-from-biden-and-trump |
Yep. “No Labels” is there to get the GOP into power, nothing more. All those of you who “both sides” incessantly should take a look at yourselves. You’re as bad as these guys. |
God forbid there be a 3rd party challenge to our two major political parties that are giving us the Trump vs Biden rematch that the majority of Americans do not want. I have a suggestion for the GOP and Dem leaders and campaign organizers- if you don't want a political movement that involves a 3rd political party challenge to your longstanding stranglehold on American politics, you simply need to do more listening to the American people and less listening to your network of rich and powerful donors. |
Wait till you hear about all of No Labels’s rich and powerful donors. |
There is blue-sky and then there is reality. Reality is that No-Labels will likely cause Trump to be president. If people honestly believe there is no difference between Biden and Trump, then we will get the government we deserve, which is a white christian nationalist authoritarian state. |
Reality is any third party that fields a viable candidate will have a chance to compete with the two elderly and unpopular candidates and the GOP and Dem parties deserve that fate it comes to fruition. As of now, there is no 3rd party with a viable candidate (sorry RFK Jr.) and until there is, there is no reason for you GOP and Dem campaign workers to lose sleep over a legitimate challenge to your weak candidates. |
If you think D & R are the same and want an alternative, start with local government. Or State government, or Congress etc. You can’t just have a 3rd party for President. |
When you think like a child/a Republican who wants their way you run a spoiler candidate for the top of the ticket and do not further work. It’s binary. Remember: Nader, Nader, Sanders/Stein. For crying out loud here’s No Labels explaining how they plan on interfering with democracy! They’re nothing but spoilers. “People deserve another ChOiCe!” That’s not how this works. You talk like that and you’re trying to get a Republican in office. Ask yourself why you’re working on behalf of fascism. |
You and I may hate the prospects of a 3rd party candidate playing the role of spoiler in a manner that gets Trump elected but much of the rest of the country and especially in swing states, they don't see this the same way. Biden is a very weak candidate per the perception of a majority of Americans relative to the historically norm for an incumbent and that, along with Trump's obvious weakness, opens the door for a spoiler or an actual contending 3rd party candidate to be a major factor. You can convince the most reliable Dem voters to vote for Biden no matter but the folks in the swing states that will decide the election aren't listening. Nader and Stein were the spoiler type candidate you are concerned about just as RFK Jr is. If a No labels candidate enters the race, it won't be a spoiler nobody candidate, it will be a well known, well qualified candidate with adequate funding and they'll draw support from a large portion of those voters that decided the 2016 and 2020 races. Whine and point fingers all you want. It won't change the dynamics of the 2024 presidential race. |
What they are planning is not the same as a third party candidate getting enough votes (from the people) to win an election.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/08/03/trump-no-labels-coup-jan-6/ This is scary AF. |
I see how you think that is scary but the people's choice gave us Trump. He won his first nomination because his Twitter insults amused Republican voters. |
Speaking of not the people's choice- Trump, Biden |
