I had two implants and one failed after grafting. Got a second one and I'm cautiously optimistic that it seems okay.

I was not charged anything after the failed one though. You mention the cost which is a lot but just make sure you're not paying anything for the additional services needed after the failure.

I would hesitate to allow the same surgeon to fix a problem they may have caused. Same day implants are not a good idea. It takes 3-6 months for the bone graft to take, grow and solidify. There should be no pressure placed on the area in that time. When the implant post is placed, you need another 3-6 months for the bone to heal around the post, not to mention settling the swelling around the gums before the crown molding.
