| It's whole foods. I bet the monetary value of all of the produce they ruined is more than the cost of repairing the car and building combined. |
Is it really closing? I didn’t know. |
+1 Probably ten plus years ago. In McLean there were three incidents in two weeks, recently: Santinis, Truist Bank, and a dry cleaner, all on the same road. All involved elderly drivers driving THROUGH the front of the store, narrowly missing humans. When are we going to tell people of a certain age to turn in their licenses? If people can't go to work (or the grocery, or the bank, or most any errand) without fear of being killed by a car IN the store?? |
| There was also the incident near Chevy Chase Circle when an elderly driver killed 2 people at the Parthenon restaurant. That was almost 2 years ago and I've never been able to find any news about what happened to the driver, who wasn't even named in the initial media coverage. Presumably they were charged with *something* and their license was revoked at least? But who knows - we treat dangerous drivers very differently if they're elderly. Which is ridiculous btw. |
When you tell young, drinking drivers not to speed at over 100 mph... |
| Probably someone in their 30’s who was texting. |
Is this a joke? |
Or it was a Gen Xer having an exis...well, whatever, nevermind. |
What the hell is that supposed to mean? I’m a Volvo owner who goes to WF damn you. |
What can you expect from Fox News other than empty news? |
So it was you? |
| Does your car insurance pay to fix up the damage to the grocery store? That is going to be a huge bill. |
Doubtful. Most stop at 100k Why didn’t this car have auto braking? My Honda stops automatically if I try to run into things. |
Or road rage .... |
| Authorities have not released any info on driver and they usually do when the driver is elderly. Also the vast majority of accidents are caused by teenagers and drunk drivers. |
