Republicans losing their minds over Hunter Biden Subpoena

Ironic that Committee Chair Jame Comer is calling out Hunter's "shell" LLC's when he in fact has his own "shell" LLC's.

You just can't make this stuff up!

He had his chance to speak before, but he decided to stage a circus outside.

Now he can face the consequences or continue to hide in the White House with daddy.

He is willing to testify in open committee. The GOP doesn't want that because they won't be able to lie about his testimony to the right wing echo chamber.

Why won't the GOP let him testify in open committee? There is no reason for it, and when asked by the left, no GOP member has been able to answer the question.

The GOP wants to hold a closed deposition first - just like the Democrats have done with J6 - in order to avoid the circus like we saw today. An open hearing does not allow for the follow up questions that a closed deposition allows. A closed hearing allows questioners to probe much more deeply than an open hearing allows. Closed deposition first, then open hearing.
And, as for your bolded accusation.....the transcripts are always made public so that pretty much ruins your argument.

That's what Democrats should do - put together big poster boards showing how much money Trump received from various countries, how many shell companies Trump has and so on - along with Comer and others.

Didn’t Jim Jordan do what he is now charging Hunter Biden with (ie, ignoring a Congressional subpoena)??

🤪

No, the transcripts are not always made public and can guarantee they would not be here.

Hunter isn't ignoring it. He has agreed to testify publicly, under oath. Can't get any more transparent than that.

Hunter was RIGHT THERE. If they wanted to ask him questions, they could have done it.

House Republicans just want to question him in secret so they can lie about it.

Dang I wish I could find the clip - one of the Dems at the hearing just offered to vote with the Rs to hold Hunter in contempt - if they amend the charge to include all the Rs who should be held in contempt for ignoring subpeonas! He listed out like 5 or 6 ignored subpeonas.

The Republicans have lied throughout this process. There's no reason to trust that they wouldn't lie about the deposition and then not disclose the transcript. Why would anybody give them the benefit of the doubt? They are proven liars.

The thing is that what Trump made off the presidency is probably orders higher than what we know he made. Like touting the size of an iceberg from the surface up.

Can you believe there are still people hemming and hawing about who to vote for this year? They actually want more of this.

They rationalize it all away. They tell themselves "ya well the dumbocraps are a million billion bajillion times worse" even though they aren't.

Agree 100%. The transcripts are not required to be made public. And they can be redacted for "national security/privacy" reasons. And they can be delayed. And whatever Comer "promises" now has no bearing on whether or when he would release the transcripts. Frankly, the Democrats should simply record the interviews and release them.

Here’s Comer saying either a closed or open hearing is fine, though. Why so picky now?
