You are the problem. You did this to DC. |
yes, we lone wolves who begged for people to consider different representation... i wish someone here would fess' up that they goofed when they voted. |
vote Republican. |
Who did you vote for? |
Fix your party first. No way I'm banding together with the Trump party. |
After you guys staged a coup and tried to ban abortion? No thanks. |
Remind me, who was the much better candidate on the ballot running against her? As bad as she is, the rest were weak on crime, even more bumbling, et cetera. |
+1000 I was a Republican right up until Bush's Iraq lies became evident. The party has gone SO FAR downhill. Republicans have a LOT of work to do if they ever want to regain my trust. |
Don’t long for Marion Barry. Long for Anthony Williams. |
| Elections have consequences. Vote for dumb, arrogant, incompetent candidates and this is what you get. Sadly because DC is the nation’s capital it impacts more than DC residents. |
|
More Anthony Williams - I'd definitely go with that.
Fenty also had his missteps and mistakes but all in all we were better off with him than we seem to be with Bowser. We don't need Republicans. But we DO need sensible Democrats to step up. |
| There wasn’t a better candidate last time. I couldn’t vote for Robert White, who wanted to keep schools closed even longer. |
Again, remind me who was on the ballot who was so much better than Bowser? This has been asked repeatedly, nobody's responded. For lack of a good candidate, we got the least shitty. Yeah, that's not a good candidate but again, what was the alternative? |
Not this past election, but David Catania opposed her before. He was a reasonably strong candidate - too bad he didn’t win. |
You are setting this city up for failure. There are many Republicans who are not Trumpers--I would bet any who are running for DC City Council are pretty moderate on social issues, you could, you know, read their platform, just likely to take Allen-esque stance on the soaring crime. It's difficuly to "fix a party". Can you "fix" the DC Democratic party for us, given what a batsh*t crazy job they're doing? Please go on and "fix" it. I voted ALL moderate independent, Republican or write-in on the last round of elections. The Democrats who have run in this city since the excellent Tony Williams (a technocrat who I very much doubt has any party ideology ) and so-so Adrian Fenty (did a nice job on parks and recreation) have been a HUGE fail for our city. But do carry on. --DC Native |
