Was Mark Tuhoey, the former Director of the Mayor's Office of Legal Counsel a diversity hire? Was Anthony Crispino, former acting Director of the Department of Forensic Sciences a diversity hire? |
| I agree that she is insecure and just doesn't have the depth to do the mental gymnastics required to come up with new ideas and lead the city. She is also surrounded by sycophants who tell her what she wants to hear. She has poor counsel and her senior staff members and directors are constantly leaving. This has to be the saddest administration ever. |

The departure of the Wizards and the Capitals could be a blessing for DC, but it is obvious that Bowser, her staff, and the council won't be up to the task of making it a blessing. That requires smart and creative leaders. The facts show Bowser is not the kind of leader.
Unfortunately, it seems her legacy will be the mayor lost to professional teams and infested DC of crime. |
Bowser’s “Vision Zero”: Crime for all! (And pro sports teams for Virginia.) |

The only Browser I like goes...
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BAAH! DAGGY DAGGY DAG! |
| My partner used to work in the Wilson Building. The vast, vast majority of the appointees have a combination of dominant characteristics: incompetent, inappropriate in the workplace, and sometimes abusive toward staff. They have a practiced and vocalized disdain for everyone, from Council Members, Deputy Mayors on down to ordinary residents. I know it won't come as any surprise. But it's worse than you might already think. |

Because Bowser has no vision. No leadership. No ability to run city agencies.
Mayor is a vision / personnel job. Set the vision and lead. I wish Bowser would do all these things, but it's increasingly clear she doesn't have the above skillset. |
Oh, honey I worked in that building for ten years. I know. |
Who are the Fenty holdovers? |
Why should people who don't live in DC get paid to administer the DC government. That makes zero sense. |
Reasonable, electable people have to step up and run, not just for mayor, but for Council and ANC too. Without that you get unopposed Charles Allen. And not too many, so vote is not fragmented, or we get more of Nadeau. Neither of the Whites would have been a better choice for mayor. There was no Tony Williams figure to vote for. The 911 issues have gone on for years and put the lives of all who live, work, or visit at risk. At a certain point, it's easier and safer to move, as most jurisdictions manage the basics of government far better than DC. |
How? |
| It’s what happens when DEI is your only requirement in the hiring process. |
Well, government work does not pay well, and living in the parts of DC that are not crime infested isn’t exactly cheap. It’s just a reality that her pool is much shallower because there are many qualified people who are unwilling to move into the District. |
Does Ward 9 count? Seriously though, I wasn't aware of this requirement. Is it only for appointed positions and/or agency directors? |
