I want to do holiday cards but haven't yet

Just skip it this year. You have my permission. Nothing will happen, I promise.

I did Walgreens too. Also been sick.

I love new years cards! I am one of the unapologetic fans of holiday cards, and getting them in late December/early Jan is especially nice because I have more time to enjoy them.

It's fine to skip it, but you can send a new year's card 3 weeks from now: it doesn't have to arrive Dec 31. Or send a Valentine's card. Send a summer update. I will be thrilled to receive it whenever you get around to it!

Do it or don’t do it. But if you are the one doing it, it is done YOUR way.

Are you actually going to write anything on these cards, even just “Happy New Year from the Smiths”? If not, don’t bother. No one needs another family ad. If all you are going to do is mail someone a family photo from Minted, just post it on FB instead.

Hi “family ad” poster! It’s not Christmas on DCUM for me until I see you posting a complaint about “family ads.” I missed you last year. Happy holidays!

Family ad? What exactly do you imagine these people are selling to you? Membership in their family?

This really is not a heavy lift though I totally get telling DH to do it since he cares more!

Please let us know how they turned out!

CVS is 24/7
Post Office lobby sells stamps 24/7
Use your printer to print out addresses on those sticky pieces of paper
Get your roll of return address stickers

So go on line order CVS, print out address of in rush do to post office after picking up stick address sticker, your return address sticker and stamp and mail

This is not complicated folks. Do it tonight

Guurrll! Any time you send a photo greeting card is a good time! Western New Year's, Chinese New Year's, Valenrine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Thai New Year, Eid, etc. Don't restrict yourself!

That was me last year and I did a New Years card. Minted has some nice ones and also had a great sale.

The most beautiful card I ever made was a Walgreen's card I made with our Christmas ski trip photos.

I had no time to do cards before leaving town and I planned to try to take pictures at the ski resort with my phone.

This was a "give-up" holiday because our kids are too old to want anything worth wrapping for Christmas. So...just spent all the Xmas money on the trip itself.

We all coincidentally had blue ski jackets so it turned out great.

This was the only time in my adult life that I managed to come up to the standard of an average Pinterest-using suburban mom.

So +1 for Walgreens!

I used to use Target but they got out of the business. The Walmarts around me have had problems properly reproducing the stock card backgrounds on their site and some of them have not met their stated printing delivery timings.

Staples same day. You can have them out for Christmas.

We always send a new years card. It gets mailed 27-28th of december.

Make sure you don't include a family photo, as that is offensive per DCUM
