| I say Happy Holidays. The people in my life whom I see get angry about it are all Republicans. I'm not saying it's all R's but at least in my every day life those are the ones who roll their eyes or comment. |
Your post is a breath of fresh air! Thank you. It is amazing to me how so many people find a need to be offended by just about anything or anyone. |
LOL thanks! As long as someone isn't honking and giving me the finger, or telling me to go F myself, who cares what the actual greeting is. Life it stressful enough without micromanaging a nice greeting! |
Christmas is the celebration of the. Birth of Christ for Christians and it should not be lumped together with Happy Holidays. Hanukkah gets its own special cards, color and menorah and Christians do not attempt to include it in their Christmas cards The same with Kwanza. No one cares if non Christians put up a tree and call it a Hanukkah bush, yule tree, or winter solstice stick! I put up a Christmas tree give Christmas gifts. Wish Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and, quite frankly, do not give a tinkler's dam if you are offended. Get over it! |
Did you read my post? I am fine, but I am responding to a video I saw on TikTok on "moms of TikTok" she deleted her videos. if not I Would've posted it . |

I am a Christian and we teach our children both the religious aspects of Christmas as well as the secular.
That said, my three best friends from college are all Jewish. I also have friends that are Muslim and friends that celebrate Kwanzaa. I care for all of these friends. So, despite my background, I know that it isn't all about me and I wish those who I don't know are Christian, Happy Holidays, so that I am sending them a good wish for whatever holiday they celebrate. For those that I know are Christian or secularly celebrate Christmas, I will wish them a Merry Christmas. But the default, unless I know they celebrate Christmas, is Happy Holidays. |
Now that we know baby j wasnt born on 12/25, shouldnt this be updated? You sound quite hateful. Definitely showing youre a true christian though, so thanks for that. |
Bullshit this happened. |
| Happy Holidays includes New Year’s, you dumbasses. |
Ah, the militant elf. And also, you kids get off my lawn! |
Judgemental, aren't you. |
EXACTLY. Even if you CHOOSE to be ignorant and ignore Hanukah and Kwanza, "the holidays" includes New Year's. I always laugh at my Boomer parents, aunts, uncles, etc. who are suddenly now offended by anything not "Merry Christmas" when they've sent loads of "Season's Greetings" cards and had "Season's Greetings" decor all over the place. Now, all of a sudden, it can only be Merry Christmas. GTFOH with that nonsense. |
NP. About the fact that no one knows Jesus was born on 12/25? And that the date was picked to spite the Roman Pagans on Saturnalia? But despite these things, we are required to suffer through the "birth of christ" as the only legitimate basis for Chistmas? Yes, I judge that. |
What is a “tinkler’s dam?” Is that like a little wall to accumulate your urine? |

I’ve always thought “Happy Holidays” was an abbreviation for “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” Those are two holidays, back to back, in the season. I fail to see why it’s offensive to anyone.
I am Jewish and the only time I get offended is when people who know I am struggle with what to say to me. I won’t bite if you wish me a Merry Christmas. Even though I don’t believe in the divinity of Jesus, this is a Christian majority country built on Christian principles and ideas. I have a great respect for that. |
