+1 to Longchamp It's so simple and versatile, from carrying my laptop to flowers at the market to a weekend bag. Plus, it's foldable. |
OP here. Definitely not. Was thinking $100-150 tops. |
People on here will turn their noses up at Fossil, but I have a cross-body turnkey flap bag from the brand that I bought in 2016 and has gotten very heavy use and it still looks pristine except the hardware (a little scratched up but not noticeable) and that I get compliments on. It has a styling similar to Coach but is a step down in cost -- I bought it for foreign travel when I didn't want to take an expensive bag and continue to use it for that purpose, but also often use it as an everyday bag when I don't want to attract attention to myself. Though I'm guessing a lot of people here would call it basic. But it's not "basic" and I don't think it's a striver bag as it impresses exactly no one. But good purse! |
Whatever. I’m Gen X and couldn’t care less what anyone thinks about my purse. I’m not interested in spending big bucks on a bag. Kate Spade bags are reasonably priced and can take a beating. |
OP here. I feel the same. I just wish I could buy a coach or Kate space that didn’t say so. My last few have been from Target just so they are brand-less but they don’t hold up well. Maybe I will head to the outlet and look around. |
You have great taste—how have I never heard of the Songmont brand??? |
| I love my Lo & Sons bag. |
| I’m a label lover but I have a couple Kate Spade bags that i use a ton. |
In that price range I'd say Madewell. |

Look for Furla, everlane, Portland leather, sezane….and check out the holiday sales, particularly immediately after Christmas.

If you’re comfortable with knock-offs, this Amazon bag is a great one. I get compliments on it all the time.

Quince will also have some nice options. |
