How is SNL still on the air?

I dunno. It has t been funny for almost 30 years.

The skit with Bowen and Adam as a gay couple trying for a baby the old fashioned way was not only hilarious, but also a commentary on how bizarro some of the gender conversation has become.

Basically few people over college age find it funny, and pine for the “golden” days.

I still enjoy it; I wonder if that means I’m immature still at 50?

Has anyone else noticed how SNL is full of offensive stereotypes about Hispanic people?
Why do the actors go along with these cringe, demeaning stereotypes that aren't even funny at all? It feels like SNL is running a Hispanic minstrel show at this point. So gross.

Agree. Not sure how this is still a thing. Someone's paying to air this nonsense.

Thanks for sharing mee-maw, tell us more about the olden days!

So not funny but I guess that's why you think SNL is still funny. Makes sense.

You're just sad.

Marcello likely wrote or co-wrote his bit on Weekend Update. His stand-up includes a lot of Latino references. It’s who he is, and it obviously doesn’t offend him.

This. I have found them funny sometimes, but that cold open was deplorable. I tend to vote democrat, but I thought Stefanik was amazing at the hearing and I was disgusted to see SNL mock her and make her seem worse that the University presidents. I hate Trump, but I don't care if Stefanik is tight with him. We needed someone like her to read those jerks the riot act.

No one needs to watch it live anymore as any of the good skits will surface on the news or social media immediately afterward.

I think SNL is still aimed at people who smoke pot. Example: The sketch from last night with Adam Driver as a baby on a plane. This would totally freak me out if I was stoned.

I think you have to ask yourself, when there are so many comedians out there who are actually clever and funny, why did SNL pick the rich kid who goes for the cheap laughs that reinforce negative stereotypes about poor Latinos?

SNL has fallen so far from the high-minded days of Black Jeopardy

I think they did do that, a lot. They just also made fun of Stefanik because she’s a ridiculous hypocrite as well.

I’m obsessed with Bowen. He was so funny as George Santos.

SNL is an equal opportunity offender. Just because they mocked someone you approved off doesn’t mean they should be canceled. Stay focused on canceling university presidents.

DP and I assume Marcelo writes these bits but it seems like all he writes are stereotypical Latino roles. I hope he has more in his bag of tricks because it is a bit one note.
