The cold open was unwatchable. It's just awful. Only SNL would actually make fun of the antisemitism at elite universities and blame the the people calling it out. |
I just watched it and I thought they were criticizing the university presidents as well.
It wasn’t the funniest cold open, but Keenan brought the humor at the end of the sketch. |
SNL pokes fun at politicians all the time. It's what they do. |
Propaganda. |
It was a mess. Not clear what the point was. Poorly acted. Went on too long. Questionable messaging. |
Yeah that was bad |
They wimped out by not underscoring how absurd the university presidents were during their testimony. |
Almost all their skits go on too long! |
I just watched. The skit was really bad. |
I just started watching with my DS. It’s uneven but there are enough laughs to make it worthwhile especially if you appreciate the craft that goes into it - the entire show made in a week! But yeah it can be weird to see something unpolished these days. Once I figured out it is normal for jokes or skits to bomb sometimes I was able to enjoy it overall more.
I did not watch last night so opinion on their treatment of the Israel issue. But since they are not afraid to take on controversy I think I give them a little more leeway to get it wrong from my political perspective. This may be the kind of issue where comedians that pull no punches on either side actually give the best takes. |
The George Santos skit last week was hilarious.
All comedy can be hit or miss. |
It stopped being funny at least 20 years ago. |
Not funny |
Thanks for sharing mee-maw, tell us more about the olden days! |
You don't seem to understand the very basics of how comedy works... |
