Susan Sarandon is slammed for claiming Jews 'are getting a taste of what it feels like to be Muslim'

I feel like she had words to say after she helped get Trump in office, but I have to be honest and say I tuned her out because I think they were more of the same, i.e. garbage about “burning it all down” in order to rebuild better. How can a person be nearly 80 and not understand that when things are burnt down, they’re not always better, and that’s if they get rebuilt at all. Meanwhile all the poor people have nowhere to live.

The people who let some wretched version of “perfect” be the opposite of the good are huge players in why the world sucks. We would have been universes better off after four years of Mrs. Clinton, institutions intact, coup never attempted, Supreme Court not fully overtaken by whackjobs, and probably no pandemic meaning no inflation. But people like Sarandon can never admit that.

How would Clinton have stopped the global pandemic?

I’m so proud of her. It’s not easy stating this in Hollywood. Good for her.

You sound more cuckoo than Sarandon if that's possible

All dissent must be quickly and publicly punished.

I can’t believe that Trump’s role in the pandemic has been buried. W, then Obama, built a pandemic response. Obama, a realist about China’s tendency to suppress facts, opened an early detection office in Beijing.

Trump destroyed it all. Closed the office. Stopped any preparation. Part of the GOP’s obsession with blocking the functions of the government

So: had Clinton been elected in 2016, the novel coronavirus would likely have been identified and dealt with before it even became an epidemic.

Having everyone breathe through their left nostril, then the right one. She's always been at the cutting edge of science.

Sarandon is just vocal about it because she’s nearing the end.

DP. Yep. I think the trauma was too fresh in 2020, vaccines had just rolled out at the time of the election. But looking back it’s like, holy crack, what a failure.

So much conspiracy theory and magical thinking there. How exactly would Clinton have "dealt with before it even became an epidemic"?

Actually with Clinton in the WH probably we wouldn't have got a vaccine till 2022 if at all. Tens of millions dead, the global economy kaputt.

Ah. Congratulations on "punching up" against those big, bad Jews who are undoubtedly coming to get you if you don't get them first. You'll show them what it's like to be a persecutedminority, because otherwise how would they ever know? You and Susan Sarandon... such big machers in the history business you are...

Most of them presumably had to get past a Harvey Weinstein or two to get into the biz.

Same could be said about Donald Trump but the GOP keeps voting for him.

I feel like I remember that covid first “made landfall” in Seattle and Trump had nothing but silly things to say. Then it jumped to New York, hit hard, and then Donald and Jared realized that this could do some serious damage among Democratic voters as they tend to live in cities, which led to them making several decisions that worsened the pandemic early on when we had nothing to throw at it. He made fun of masks, called it “no worse than a cold,” said it would all be back to normal by Easter, wanted to “open everything back up” not even two weeks after we shut down…

I wonder if Susan Sarandon will ever have enough self awareness to look at the global pandemic and accept that her smug politicking helped lead to the death of millions.
